Please be alert against scams.

In recent times, we have received inquiry about email impersonating us.

They have requested private information such as an address, signature, phone number.

If you receive an email claiming to be from YFL, please do not provide any personal information.

All official email from YFL will be sent from addresses ending with "@yonsei.ac.kr ". They will not be sent from personal email accounts such as Gmail, or other unfamiliar email domains.

A phishing email looks like an official email and tries to trick you into visiting a fake website and providing your personal and account information. It may also ask you to call a phone number and provide account information.

Below is an example of an email purportedly from YFL requesting individuals to send personal information.

YFL did not send out emails such as the above.

To safeguard yourself, please be extra careful when you receive an unsolicited email or all other forms of communication asking you to provide confidential or personal information.

If you have received a suspicious email, letter, text message or phone call purportedly from YFL send email at ysfrontierlab@yonsei.ac.kr to verify the authenticity of such email.
